We are looking for an HR Generalist as a Maternity Leave replacement. This position will be available for a year or possibly longer. We are located in Abbotsford – a mere 20 minute drive from Langley, 1/2 an hour from Maple Ridge and less than an hour from the North Shore (on a good day!). Advanced Nutrients is a very fast growing company headquartered in Abbotsford. We sell plant nutrients to over 50 countries world-wide. We have several warehouses in the US, a manufacturing facility in Abbotsford and one in Washington State as well as a research group in Europe and a growing presence in India. We also publish, a high-end glossy monthly magazine. Since January of this year we have hired more than 60 people to fill everything from warehouse worker positions to Search Engine Optimization specialists. We currently have approximately 130 employees world-wide. Not a week goes by that we aren’t adding to our workforce so recruitment and selection skills are paramount.
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist with a solid background in recruitment. Ease with online recruitment practices and some experience in recruiting internationally would be an asset. With our centralized HR services knowledge of US HR practices and the ability to quickly research and find answers to HR questions in various states would be helpful. Since we are a sales driven organization, familiarity with commission structures and applicable recruiting practices would be helpful. Excellent MS Excel skills along with a keen analytical ability are important as we are setting up processes and practice for all facets of effectively managing our people resources. There will be a need to write job descriptions, research salaries, recommend job rates, establish and maintain excellent relations with placement agencies, universities, as well as the entire Advanced Nutrient team many of whom are virtual. As well there will be the need to investigate and resolve employee issues including disciplinary. Experience in and working with developing effective HRIS reporting is also required. A thorough knowledge of the ESA goes without saying.

Due to our continued growth we have opened a new warehouse in Santa Rosa, California. As a result we have several new FULL-TIME positions that we are hiring for! All positions require individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
Duties Include:
- Receiving and unloading incoming goods.
- Orderly stacking of arriving goods by hand
- Accurate handling of all paperwork pertaining to the inbound/outbound of goods
- Manually picking required products and assembling them onto boxes and/or pallets for shipping

- High school diploma/GED
