We are Advanced Nutrients – the world's premier manufacturer of nutrient and supplement products for hydroponic gardeners. Located in Abbotsford, B.C., we are seeking a CREATIVE Graphic Designer with the ability to come up with contemporary and wild designs for a variety of different applications. The successful candidate must be able to work from our office Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm with our growing in-house media team. Freelancers will not be considered for this position.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on your knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design
• Using computer systems (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe CS6) to process information and redesign to meet the client’s needs
• Working as a team player to develop/edit/adjust graphic design pieces and print marketing materials (brand IDs, posters, brochures, etc.)
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements as needed
• Working on many design briefs at once
• Having fun while you do it all!

You will have:

• 3-5 years’ experience in fast paced design firm or print shop
• Attention to detail is an ABSOLUTE MUST
• Self-starting, motivated, energetic and well-organized
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to show initiative and willing to learn/improve
• Comfortable under supervision and able to work independently

Advanced Nutrients, headquartered in Abbotsford BC, produces cutting edge plant nutrients and provides innovative hardware for our valued customers in more than 50 countries world-wide. We are looking for a bright individual who can pour our mixed products as well as provide general cleaning, sanitation and maintenance in the production area.

As the successful candidate you will be a motivated, self-starter who thrives in a busy, self-directed environment and can work well under deadlines.

Your job duties will include:

• Pouring product into bottles by hand, following specific instructions from the Mixing Lead Hand.
• Ensuring all poured product meets or exceeds required product quality criterion.
• Placing batch codes on the product.
• Make certain there is sufficient flow of goods to negate down time
• Placing finished goods onto pallet.
• Machine setup and takedown.

You will have:

• High school diploma/GED
• Minimum of one year of warehouse work experience
• Ability to read simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds (Required for some positions)
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack and/or a forklift is an asset
• Exceptional Health and Safety practices including maintenance of your work area
• Ability to complete a criminal record check

We are growing rapidly with offices throughout North America and Europe, and are looking to add highly skilled individuals to build on our success.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team. As the successful candidate you will be a self-starter who thrives in a busy, self-directed environment and can work well under deadlines

As our payroll expert you will:

• Prepare, submit and ensure the integrity of information for both Canadian and US automated payroll and benefit remittances for multiple companies
• Ensure and reconcile benefits and various statutory deductions and timely payments
• Process appropriate deductions and remittances as required by provincial and state legislation and company policy
• Reconcile employee benefit costs and payroll banks (vacation and overtime where applicable)
• Extract and manipulate sales commissions reports from accounting software monthly and record entries in the general ledger
• Review, prepare and verify payroll journals for the finance department
• Ensure compliance with all provincial and state legislation as it relates to records keeping, confidentiality, new hires and separations
• Coordinate the preparation and reconciliation of T4s and other related annual reporting requirements
• Provide regular and ad hoc payroll reporting to management as requested
• Assist the finance team as required with accounting assignments to support multiple companies

You will have:

• At least 5 years of full range payroll experience in a mid-size company
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or a Certificate in Accounting with substantial related payroll experience and/or related post-secondary education
• Experience with Canadian payroll (U.S. payroll compliance experience an asset)
• Knowledge of MAS/Sage or other accounting software
• Proficiency with MS Office and advanced skills in Excel

As an Inside Sales Representative you will work closely with various Business Buddies located in the U.S. or Canada, providing support through your excellent telephone and email communication skills from our Abbotsford office.

More specifically, you will:

• Use your skills to sell to existing clients and identify new clients
• Assess client’s needs and recommend the appropriate products to them
• Build relationships with our clients by phone and email
• Help other Inside Sales Reps with their customer base
• Process returned merchandise in a timely and efficient manner

You will have:

• A high school diploma
• A willingness to learn
• An ability to exude your personality and enthusiasm over the phone
• A current passport or ability to obtain one
• Previous retail or sales experience (not required, but an asset)
