• The cooler you can keep electrical components the longer they will last.

• Heat rises so its key that when vertically mounting the ballast you are exhausting the heat up.

• If the ballast is improperly mounted, and you are exhausting the heat down, you are forcing the hot air over the components and trapping it in the ballast when its natural physical property is to rise and escape from the top.

• Fan should be on the top side for vertical wall mount configuration.
