+ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
+ WHAT IS A SURFACTANT?
A surfactant or "surface acting agent" is a compound that reduces the surface tension of liquids. Surface tension is the effect that makes water bead up and can also be seen when you fill a glass all the way to the edge and the water seems to form a pillow of water above the edge of the glass when looked at from the side. Surface tension describes the affinity of water to hold onto itself, and when a wetting agent reduces surface tension, it effectively makes water wetter. Foliar sprays spread more evenly after being treated with wetting agents.
