Welcome to article two in the four-part Advanced Nutrients Cannabis Life Cycle series. Today, we’ll cover the early cannabis flowering stage, which spans the first two weeks of bloom.
By now, you’ve probably read the first article about the vegetative cycle, and you’re ready to start growing some buds.
To ensure you’re getting the most from the early bloom phase, you’re going to feed your plants Advanced Nutrients, the only complete cannabis growing system of fertilizers and additives that optimizes all phases of your plants’ development from seed to senescence, helping bring your crops to their true genetic potential.
However, as you can see in the pH Perfect® Connoisseur® Master Recipe feed chart, you’re going to….
Switch Up the Products For Your Flowering Cannabis Plants
You see, your plants have vastly different needs during early bloom phase than they did in the vegetative cycle. And to help bring your cannabis to its true genetic potential, you need to “Hit the Shift” and fulfill your crop’s phase-specific nutritional requirements.
And by Hitting the Shift, you can get the absolute most from each phase of your crop’s lifespan, enabling you to achieve the heaviest yields of the most valuable buds possible and realize the greatest return on your investment.
But before we get to the best nutrients to use in early bloom, let’s briefly touch on…
Triggering the Reproductive Cycle in Early Cannabis Flowering
Once you transition your cannabis to the flowering cycle, you’re cutting your light to 12 hours on and 12 hours off. Here, what you’re doing is mimicking the late summer and early autumn climate to trigger your plants’ reproductive cycle.
Simply put, you’re telling your plants to produce reproductive organs and breed. And your female plants respond by producing flowers.
Now, there are A LOT of processes happening in your plants at this time.
And to support these processes, your plants have…
Very Specific Nutritional Needs
See, when you switch from vegetative to early bloom, there’s a finite period of time — known as the stretch phase of flowering – when your plants put on rapid vertical growth before completely stopping and switching their focus to reproduction.
Cannabis plants can actually stretch up to 150% of their current size in the first 4 weeks of flower. Meaning a 2 ft. veg plant can grow up to 5 feet!
Leveraging this extra growth leads to…
Larger Yields Down the Line
Now, take a quick look at the feed chart for the early cannabis flowering stage.
You’ll see that you’re going to run quite a few nutrients here…
And every one of them serves a special purpose in your plants’ development as they transition into flowering. Running these nutrients together is CRITICAL if you want to help your cannabis reach its true genetic potential.
Now, one big change you’re making is switching over from pH Perfect® Connoisseur® GROW A+B to the pH Perfect® Connoisseur® BLOOM A+B, which will provide your crops with all the macro, secondary, and micronutrients they need throughout all three of the bloom phases.
Beyond Connoisseur, you’re also going to continue running our good friends Voodoo Juice®, Tarantula®, and Piranha® during the first two weeks of bloom to assist with vital functions such as water and nutrient transport from the root zone. (You can also run our 3-in-1 quick-dissolving tablet Voodoo Juice Plus.)
Remember, there’s a direct correlation between root mass and yield size.
You’re also going to stick with Rhino Skin®, which delivers silica to help strengthen the cellular walls of your plant stems and branches, allowing them to pack on more bud weight without any breakage. In the second phase of bloom, you’ll see why it’s essential to strengthen your stalks and stems during the first few weeks of flowering.
Additional Nutrients For Early Cannabis Flowering
Now, there are a few key players you’re going to introduce during early bloom to kickstart the most productive flowering possible.
First of all, you’re going to add Bud Factor X® here, which contains bioactive ingredients that coax maximum production of terpenoids, cannabinoids, resins and essential oils, all of which leads to higher quality, more valuable buds.
You’re also going to introduce Bud Ignitor®, the superstar of the early bloom stage that gives you a headstart on bud growth right out of the gate.
You see, normally plants take a bit of time moving from the vegetative cycle to the flowering cycle.
Bud Ignitor speeds this process up by prodding your plants to get busy developing flowers. This is important because flowering is a finite period of time and you want to get the most flower growth possible.
You’re also going to run…
The King of Bloom Boosters
It’s called Big Bud®, and it’s our #1-selling additive in 110+ countries.. Once you put it to work in early flowering, you’ll understand why.
Big Bud provides a full range of amino acids to give you larger, heavier, denser flowers with more cannabinoids and terpenoids, significantly increasing yield and the market value of your crop.
And then there’s our friend Sensizym from the vegetative cycle making a reappearance here, where it continues to keep your root zone healthy and make nutrients available to your plants.
Then, our final component of the early bloom phase is Bud Candy®, which provides five key sources of carbohydrates, acting as a food source for your microbes, and providing critical nutrition needed for huge, aromatic yields.
Use this recipe as we’ve discussed, and you’re guaranteed to…
