No. Your base nutrients provide the essential foundation of your feeding program. Additives and supplements are designed to support specific outcomes, such as root development, stress resistance, microbial activity, flower formation, aroma, or late-bloom performance.
You can build your program according to your experience, goals, growing environment, and budget. New growers often achieve better results by starting with a simpler program and introducing additional products one at a time.

Once you have selected your base nutrient, use the feeding chart created specifically for that product family. Do not combine rates or instructions from different base nutrient systems. Product availability may vary by region.

Our Global feeding charts use milliliters per liter – mL/L – while our USA feeding charts use milliliters per gallon – mL/gal.
These measurements are not interchangeable. Before measuring any product, confirm which chart and unit system you are using. This is especially important when comparing advice from growers, retailers, videos, or forums in different regions.
Do not advance to the next growth stage simply because another week has passed.
If seedlings or clones need more time, repeat the appropriate early-stage week until they are ready for active vegetative growth. If you extend the vegetative stage, continue using the final vegetative-week schedule rather than moving into the bloom program early.
Always base the transition on plant development rather than the calendar alone.
Our feeding charts provide a structured starting point, but every growing environment is different. Water quality, growing medium, cultivar sensitivity, lighting intensity, temperature, irrigation frequency, and environmental control can all influence how much nutrition a plant can use.
When starting a new program, use a conservative strength and increase gradually while monitoring the plants. If leaf tips begin turning brown or crispy, reduce the base nutrient strength by approximately 25% and reassess.
Growers using hard water, lightly rooted plants, autoflowering cultivars, or less intensive environments may need lower concentrations than highly controlled commercial facilities.

Common signs of overfeeding include:
- Brown or crispy leaf tips and margins
- Very dark green foliage
- Downward-clawing leaves
- Rising runoff EC
- Visible mineral buildup on the medium or equipment
Common signs of underfeeding include:
- Pale or yellowing foliage
- Yellowing that begins on older, lower leaves
- Slow or weak growth
- Reduced vigor
- Low input EC for the crop’s development stage
Several root-zone problems can resemble a nutrient deficiency. Check your input and runoff pH and EC before increasing the feed strength.
It is a good idea to test your source water’s starting EC or PPM before preparing your nutrient solution.
Hard tap water already contains dissolved minerals, which contribute to the final EC. In these conditions, you may need to reduce the amount of nutrient added. Reverse-osmosis, distilled, or very soft water may require a different approach because it contains fewer background minerals.
Understanding your source water helps you interpret the final nutrient concentration more accurately.
A substantially higher runoff EC usually indicates that unused mineral salts are accumulating in the root zone.
Before adding more nutrients, review:
- Feed strength
- Irrigation frequency
- Runoff volume
- Drainage
- Root-zone dryback
- Container size
- Water quality
Correct the buildup according to your medium and irrigation system, then resume feeding at a reduced strength. Continue comparing input and runoff readings to confirm that conditions are stabilizing.

Deficiency-like symptoms do not always mean that more nutrients are needed. They can also result from nutrient lockout caused by:
- Incorrect root-zone pH
- Excessive EC
- Salt buildup
- Poor drainage
- Insufficient or excessive irrigation
- Excessive dryback
- Root-zone temperature problems
- Incompatible products
Check the growing conditions, input solution, and runoff before adding another supplement. Increasing the dosage without identifying the underlying cause can make the problem worse.

Some components can settle while the bottle is stored. Shaking the bottle thoroughly helps redistribute those components so each measured dose contains the intended balance of ingredients.
Shake every product before measuring it, and make sure the container is securely closed first.
Yes. pH Perfect® Grow Micro Bloom is a unified three-part base nutrient system. All three components are used together at an equal 1:1:1 ratio.
The total dosage changes according to the crop stage and feeding chart, but the equal relationship between Grow, Micro, and Bloom should be maintained.
Do not alter the ratio based on instructions created for another manufacturer’s three-part nutrient system.
Always begin with water in the reservoir.
For pH Perfect® Grow Micro Bloom, use the following order:
- Add Micro and mix thoroughly.
- Add Grow and mix thoroughly.
- Add Bloom and mix thoroughly.
- Add any remaining supplements individually, mixing after each addition.
Never combine Grow, Micro, and Bloom together in concentrated form before adding them to water.
No. Never combine concentrated Part A and Part B products directly.
Concentrated calcium can react with concentrated phosphorus or sulfur, causing precipitation. This may create a cloudy or chalky material and make important nutrients unavailable to the plants.
Add Part A to the reservoir water and mix thoroughly before adding Part B.
Products included in the same Advanced Nutrients feeding program are designed to be used together when the current feeding chart is followed.
Add each product to the reservoir individually and mix thoroughly before adding the next one. Never combine concentrated supplements in a measuring cup or storage container unless the product instructions specifically permit it.
Some products may be compatible, but mixing brands introduces variables we cannot control or guarantee.
High-PK bloom boosters, low-quality silica products, concentrated mineral supplements, and external pH-adjusting products can destabilize the nutrient solution or interfere with pH Perfect® Technology.
When combining brands:
- Add every product to water separately.
- Mix thoroughly after each addition.
- Check the final pH and EC.
- Avoid overlapping products that provide the same nutrients.
- Watch for cloudiness, sediment, or rapid pH changes.
For the most predictable results, use products designed to work together within the same Advanced Nutrients program.
Cloudiness or chalky sediment can indicate precipitation or an incompatible combination of products.
Do not feed a visibly precipitated nutrient solution. Prepare a fresh reservoir and:
- Start with clean water.
- Shake every bottle.
- Add products one at a time.
- Mix completely after every addition.
- Never combine concentrates directly.
- Check the final pH and EC.
If the problem returns, simplify the program and review any third-party silica products, mineral additives, high-PK boosters, or pH adjusters.
pH Perfect® Technology is our proprietary system of buffers, chelates, and stabilizing mechanisms designed to bring the nutrient solution into the optimal pH range and help keep essential nutrients available to the plant.
It is built into selected Advanced Nutrients base nutrient programs and works best when the complete base system is used according to the product instructions
In most standard growing environments, pH Perfect® Technology significantly reduces or eliminates the need for routine pH adjustment.
However, we recommend checking the final solution periodically when:
- Your source water is unusually hard or alkaline.
- You use reverse-osmosis or very soft water.
- You add third-party products.
- You operate a recirculating reservoir.
- Your reservoir is stored for an extended period.
- You notice unusual plant symptoms or pH drift.
pH Perfect® is designed to manage pH when used as directed, but monitoring remains valuable when your water or growing system falls outside typical conditions.
pH Perfect® Technology is designed to work across a wide range of water conditions. However, very hard or highly alkaline water can contain enough carbonate alkalinity to challenge any buffering system.
Prepare the complete nutrient solution first, allow it to mix thoroughly, and then check the final pH and EC before feeding. Do not adjust the untreated source water before adding nutrients unless your cultivation protocol specifically requires it.
The buffering system depends on the concentration of the pH Perfect® base nutrients in the water.
At extremely low nutrient concentrations, such as very diluted seedling or clone solutions, there may not be enough buffering capacity to move highly alkaline water completely into the target range.
Check the final solution when using unusually low nutrient strength, particularly with hard or high-alkalinity water.
No. Coco can bind calcium, magnesium, and iron, but that does not mean every coco grow should automatically receive an additional Cal-Mag supplement.
When using pH Perfect® Sensi Coco Grow & Bloom, start without extra Cal-Mag. Sensi Coco is already formulated with calcium, magnesium, and multiple forms of chelated iron to address the nutritional characteristics of coco coir.
If symptoms appear, first check your source water, runoff pH and EC, irrigation frequency, runoff volume, and dryback. Add Sensi Cal Mag Xtra® only when your growing conditions or plant response show that additional supplementation is needed.
There is no single feeding frequency that applies to every coco grow.
Many coco systems perform best with consistent fertigation – often at least once per day – and enough runoff to prevent salts from accumulating. The appropriate frequency depends on:
- Plant and root size
- Container size
- Irrigation method
- Temperature and humidity
- Light intensity
- Water-holding capacity
- Dryback rate
- Input and runoff EC
Avoid treating coco exactly like soil or allowing it to dry excessively. Use runoff trends and plant response to guide adjustments.
Your base nutrient is the foundation of the program. Supplements are optional tools designed to support particular stages or outcomes.

A typical flowering schedule is:
- Bud Ignitor® – Bloom weeks 1–2
- Big Bud® – Bloom weeks 2–5
- Overdrive® – Bloom weeks 6–7
- Flawless Finish® – The flush phase
- Bud Candy® – Used across a broader portion of vegetative growth and flowering
Always confirm the exact timing on the current feeding chart for your base nutrient program and adjust for the actual flowering length of your cultivar.
Big Bud is intended for the mid-bloom development period, while Overdrive is designed for late flowering.
On a standard flowering schedule, use Big Bud during bloom weeks 2–5 and transition to Overdrive during bloom weeks 6–7. Do not continue both products beyond their recommended windows unless your cultivation protocol specifically instructs you to do so.
These products support mid-bloom development, but they are not identical.

Sensi Cal Mag Xtra® is a calcium, magnesium, iron, and vitamin supplement used when additional mineral support is justified.
Revive® is a recovery product intended for plants experiencing stress, transplant shock, or nutrient-lockout-related symptoms. It should be viewed as plant first aid rather than a routine replacement for a balanced feeding program.
In both cases, identify and correct the underlying root-zone or irrigation issue.

A flush phase is intended to help remove accumulated fertilizer salts from the growing medium before harvest. Its duration and importance can vary according to the medium, irrigation system, crop condition, and previous feeding strength.
Flushing should be part of a planned finishing strategy – not an emergency fix for severe overfeeding.

Cultivars do not all mature at the same rate, so crop maturity should be considered alongside the calendar. Review flower development and trichome maturity before deciding when to begin the final phase.
No. Flawless Finish® is designed to be used consistently throughout the recommended flush phase, rather than as a single application immediately before harvest.
Prepare it at the rate shown on the current feeding chart and follow the instructions for the complete finishing period.
